The 13th Hong Kong International Deaf Film Festival and the 3rd Hong Kong International Deaf Short Film Competition were successfully held on May 24-25. Once again, congratulations to the winners of the 3rd Hong Kong International Deaf Short Film Competition!
The entire team of the 13th Hong Kong International Deaf Film Festival would like to express our gratitude to all parties involved, including the funding from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, the Hong Kong Arts Centre as our venue partner, and the strong support from 36 Deaf organizations/groups and art institutions, which enabled us to watch Deaf films from different countries.
We are also honored to have invited Ms. Linda Lam, Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission, and Mr. TSANG Kwok-hung, Kenneth, Chief Social Work Officer of the Social Welfare Department, to be the guests of honor at the closing ceremony. Ms. Lam delivered a speech, and Deaf actor Marco shared his journey of becoming an actor and his future aspirations.
